Who actually makes these toys?
Two humans, zero robots. Deb Lohman spent years at a parrot rescue and became the full-time toymaker for over 200 birds. That's 200 critics who don't do polite reviews. She loved it so much she started BiteMe Birdie with her husband, Eric. Everything is handmade by the two of them in the USA.
Are you a big factory?
Not even a little one. Eric hand-cuts the wood, then every piece gets hand-sanded, drilled, dyed and assembled. Deb and Eric even answer your emails. Think of us as a two-bird flock with a very busy nest.
Why do all your toys have people names?
Every toy is named after a furry or feathered friend we've met along the way. So yes, somewhere out there is a real Toby, a real Jagger and a real Fred. Your bird is basically destroying a tribute. They'd be honored. Probably.
Who is Finn?
Finn is our resident quality-control officer and the face behind Finn's Favorites. If Finn approves a toy, it made the cut. If Finn doesn't, it becomes kindling.
